Three Saints wines are all crafted from Dierberg Family estate grapes, each grown to reflect the unique characteristics of the three appellations within Santa Barbara County. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines hail from the cool coastal climate of the Dierberg Santa Maria vineyard. Bordeaux and Rhone varietals, which need a warmer climate in order to ripen to perfection are grown in our Star Lane vineyard at the very eastern end of the Santa Ynez Valley. In the future, Pinot Noir from our vineyard under development in the Santa Rita Hills will join the Three Saints portfolio.

2009 Three Saints Chardonnay, Santa Maria Valley

Our 2009 Three Saints Chardonnay opens with an inviting bouquet of Anjou pear, fuji apple, lemon zest, honeysuckle, fresh fig and a hint of wet stones. In the mouth, it is broad and giving without sacrificing verve. The fruit-driven characteristics found in the nose are joined by notes of orange blossom, honey and allspice. It finishes long with an emphasis on citrus, leaving one longing for just one more sip.

Our 2009 Three Saints Pinot Noir begins with ebullient aromatics of crushed raspberries, black cherry, sassafras, and vanilla bean. A plush mouthfeel accompanies notes of wild strawberry, fresh cedar, and cherry cola. The long finish emphasizes the rich fruit character, with enough bright acid to leave one longing for yet another sip.

Scents of soft black fruits, toasted mesquite and cedar give way to this textually rich 2009 Three Saints Syrah. Generous tannins and gentle acid envelope the palette while imparting a masculine finish of savory smoke. Enjoy with herb crusted goat cheese and gamey meats.

2008 Three Saints Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Ynez Valley

Our Cabernet begins with beautiful scents of chaparral, sage and blackberry that evoke a feel of rustic elegance. Your palette is then greeted with tones of rich earth, black pepper and flavors of ripe plum. The tannins create a supple yet full-bodied finish with lingering notes of chocolate and espresso.

“67” displays extraordinarily complex aromas of cassis, pipe tobacco, sandalwood and wild boar brush . On the palate, the wine is exuberant, with fresh cassis, blackberry and cocoa tones The integrated fruit is framed by fine-grained tannins and rewards you with a clean finish.
